Make a Motion Transfer video from a photo and a motion reference

Motion Transfer makes a new clip from a character photo and a motion reference. The photo supplies how the character looks. The reference supplies the movement. On the homepage you can open a community or classic template, or upload a clip of your own, then generate with the model that matches that choice. The model, the photo slots, and the duration are the ones on the screen you are using.

On that homepage, checked 6 November 2026, the studio opened on Seedance 2.0 Mini. The page also names Kling 2.6, Kling 3.0, Wan 2.2, Seedance 2.0, and Seedance 2.5. Those choices do not share one photo count or one clip length.

One example: the cash-fan template

For one prepared performance, see the Money Spread AI page. It asks for one photo, Main character · Photo 1. That photo provides the character's appearance. The loaded motion reference provides the cash, the pose, and the scene. The clip is vertical, about 15 seconds, and the finished video uses the reference sound.

Play the reference on that page before you upload. The person shows a curved stack, brings cash toward the camera, and opens the bills into a wide fan. Examples on the page can play muted. The finished clip includes the reference audio. The Money Spread trend guide describes the same performance and says the original reference file is not on that page yet. An example on the page, or a video you generate, is not that file.

That page says Seedance 2.5 Edit is selected, and it does not ask for a prompt. A different template, or a clip you upload from the homepage, can use another model, more than one photo, and another length. Read the fields on the page you opened. The one-photo limit stays with this cash-fan template.

Prepare the photo

For this cash-fan template, use one person:

  • Keep the face clear. A hand, hat, or sunglasses across the eyes makes the later fan harder to judge.
  • Include the shoulders and sleeves. The arms reach toward the lens and grip the stacks.
  • Put the outfit you want in that same photo. This template has one appearance slot.
  • Use a sharp, evenly lit file. You do not need to hold cash, and you do not need to copy the pose.
  • Leave other people out. A group photo or a collage makes the character unclear.

Match a different template to its own slots. A full-body dance needs the limbs that move. A routine with two people may ask for two photos.

Choose a template or your own reference

  1. Open the Motion Transfer homepage. Choose a community or classic template when you want a prepared motion. Upload one continuous clip when the motion is yours.
  2. Preview that motion. If the recording is longer than the action you want, trim it to one continuous take with a clear start and end. Remove a second scene before you generate.
  3. Add the photos the current model asks for. The homepage shows a count for the model on screen. The Money Spread page asks only for Photo 1 and shows a 15-second length. Use the count on the page you opened.
  4. For the cash-fan example, open Money Spread AI, play the loaded performance, and upload the photo in Main character · Photo 1. Use Replace if the file is the wrong person.

Check the mode and the cost

On the Money Spread page, Mode offers Economy, Standard, and Original. Original uses the full reference. Economy and Standard use a prepared version of up to 15 seconds, with matching reference audio. The page also shows a resolution control. Those three modes are on this template. Another page can show a different control.

The amount appears on Generate after you choose the mode and resolution shown there. Uploading a photo does not start that request. The page states: "By generating, you confirm media permissions and accept the Use Policy." Read that line, and read the amount, before you submit. On the homepage, the model, the length, and the resolution can each change the estimate. Use the figure for the workflow you selected.

Review the result

Open My creations and play the clip with sound. For the cash-fan example, pause on four moments:

  1. The first clear view of the face and both hands.
  2. The stack as it moves toward the camera.
  3. The frames where the fan covers the lower face and the eyes remain visible.
  4. The frames after the fan opens.

Fingers, cash, and the identity while the face is covered can change. A finger can merge with a bill, a stack can change shape, and an edge can disappear. Exact bill designs, printed numbers, stack counts, and finger contact are not promised. A clearer photo helps when the face in the upload was already hidden. It does not guarantee the next attempt.

If you used your own reference, compare the result with that clip at the moment that looks wrong. Check whether a limb left the frame or the shot cut away. Change one input, then look at the same moment again.

Sound and permission

The Money Spread result uses the reference audio for the mode you chose. Listen in My creations. A muted example on the page is not the finished soundtrack. Economy and Standard use the audio that matches their prepared version. Original uses the full reference.

Use a photo you have permission to transform, and a motion reference you have permission to use. Generating asks you to confirm those media permissions. That step does not replace permission to post the soundtrack later. Check the destination's rules for AI media before you share the clip. Do not present the cash display as a real balance, a payment, or an endorsement.

Questions

What does Motion Transfer need?

A character photo and a motion reference. On the homepage, start from a community or classic template, or upload your own clip. The selected model sets how many photos and how long a clip it accepts. Read those limits on the screen you have open.

What is the Money Spread template an example of?

It is one prepared cash-fan performance. It asks for one photo in Main character · Photo 1. The photo supplies appearance. The motion reference supplies the cash, the pose, and the scene. The clip is vertical, about 15 seconds, and the finished video uses the reference sound. Another template can ask for more photos or a different length.

What do Economy, Standard, and Original mean?

On the Money Spread page, Original uses the full reference. Economy and Standard use a prepared version of up to 15 seconds, with matching reference audio. Those three modes belong to that template. Read the controls on any other template instead of copying them.

Do I need to hold cash or write a prompt?

Not for the Money Spread template. The reference already contains the cash and the motion, and that page does not ask for a prompt. A homepage workflow may show a prompt field for the model you selected. Follow the screen you opened.

Where do I see the cost?

On Generate, after you choose the mode and resolution shown there. Uploading a photo does not submit the job. This guide does not list a fixed price.

Can I download the original reference?

The Money Spread trend guide says that file is not on the page yet. An example video or a generated result is not that download. Play the reference loaded in the tool when you want to see the performance.

What should I check before posting the sound?

Play the finished clip with sound. On the cash-fan example, watch the fingers, the cash, and the face while the fan covers it. Those details can change. Confirm permission for the photo, the reference, and the soundtrack before you post, and follow the destination rules for AI media.
